Use the dropdown menu at the top to select a species. The map will display the habitat model for that species. Click the icon for detailed information about the selected species.
Click "Add Layer to map" or drag and drop a file onto the map to load your own data. Supported formats are .zip (for shapefiles), .kml, .kmz, and .geojson. Use the "Analyze User Loaded Shapes" toggle to include this data in your reports.
You can find a parcel in two ways:
After finding a parcel or loading your own layer, click the "Add Parcel to List" button to add it to your selection. You can add multiple parcels. When ready, click "Generate Report" to perform an analysis of species habitat and reference layers for the selected area(s).
Use the toggles in the "Reference Layers" section to show or hide various administrative and environmental boundaries on the map. These layers will also be included in the report if they intersect with your selected area.
Copy the link below to share the current map view, including selected parcels.

When you add a layer by dropping a file or using the button, the file is read and processed entirely within your web browser. The file itself and its contents are never uploaded or stored on any server.
To perform an analysis, the application needs to get data from the Clark County servers. To protect your privacy, the application does not send the detailed outline of your shape. Instead, it sends a simple, non-sensitive rectangular bounding box (an envelope) that represents the general area of your shape.
The server returns all the features that overlap with the general bounding box. The application then performs a final, precise intersection (a "clip") inside your browser using your original, detailed shape. This two-step process ensures that your report calculations are perfectly accurate while your detailed geometry remains private to your machine.
